Takayuki MORI

A visual artist based in Okayama, Japan, whose practice extends internationally.

Working with materials of reduced physicality—such as transparent media, ultraviolet light, and fluorescence—he creates installations that merge light and sculpture while traversing the logic of digital image generation and the processes of physical, hands-on making.

Reality and virtuality, two-dimensional and three-dimensional space, the analog and the digital are no longer opposing domains, but interpenetrating systems that shape human perception. Mori visualizes the unstable moments at which these boundaries begin to blur.

As viewers move between physical objects and images generated by light, they experience perception as something constructed and mutable. His works propose a shift in understanding vision—not as a passive organ for receiving the world, but as an active process through which reality itself is produced.
